The Map builder is a tool that creates maps to show where badge recipient communities are located. The Map builder can be accessed in the Manage Space section.
First, the user building the map (they need to have a role with the capability to generate maps) selects in the right-hand search area the badges whose recipient communities they want to display on the map.
The Target group setting defines whether the map should display only members of the Space or all Passport users who have obtained the selected badges.
By default, the map is a world map. If you want to display a smaller area, for example UK, because all your badge recipients are based in the UK, select UK in the Country setting under The Target map title. You can also fill in the latitude and longitude coordinates to frame a specific area.
You can generate several maps and display them outside your Space / Passport (for example, on a Website or in a social media service) with their public URLs or embed code. Viewers will not need to have an account in the passport to view badges and badge recipients that are on the map. Notice that Space members and potentially Passport users whose profiles are not public will not be seen on the public maps.
