Publishing a badge in a space allows you to display one or more badges directly to selected users of the space, a group of members, or the whole space.
To publish a badge, click Publish in the side menu and use the Publish Badge button. Then choose the application(s) you wish to propose from the displayed badge application list. NB! Please note that only badge applications created on the Open Badge Factory account connected to the Space are available here. Badges for which no application form has been made do not appear in the list (view the two screenshots below).

After selecting the badge applications you want to publish, click the Continue button and choose the audience (from the available options) to whom you wish to suggest the badges. For example, if you want to publish a series of badges to a group of members, select the desired group by ticking the box to the left of its name. Then, click the Continue button. The name of the selected group(s) will appear at the bottom of the pop-up window (see screenshot below). Finally, click Publish to complete the process.
NB! To make it easier to select the members or groups for badge application suggestions, you can filter or sort the displayed lists based on different criteria.
Another way to suggest a badge to a group is by publishing it directly from the Manage Space / Groups section. Click on the group name and add the badge by using the ‘+’ button (see screenshot below). This option is available only to users with the capability to Can create, modify, delete, and manage groups (refer to the Roles section).
The History button in the Publish section lets you view the activity linked to the publication of badges (and minimaps) in Space. You can filter your search by Group or by specific criteria. By selecting the name of a group, you can add or remove badges or minimaps (see screenshot below).

- The Data Protection Basics badge was suggested directly to Alejandro,
- The badge Welcome on board! has been published in the Space.
Here is what Alejandro could see on his personal Space dashboard (view screenshot below).
