How to use the Message Tool in a Space?

To send a message to members of the Space, click on Communication in the side menu and then select Message tools. NB! Only users with the Can send messages capability can send messages.


  1. Click on Create a new email, enter a title, and compose your message. You can preview it by clicking the Preview button. If you change your mind, you can cancel by clicking on the Cancel button. 
  2. When you're ready to proceed, go to step 2 by clicking on Recipients (see screenshot below). Here, you can define which users will receive your message. 


Choose from the following options:

  • All users
  • Filtered users, based on criteria like:

    • Members with one or more specific badges
    • Members of one or more specific groups
    • Members with specific badges in one or more specific groups


The system will show you how many recipients your message will reach based on:

  • The number of users who have opted to receive messages
  • The filtering criteria you've selected


NB! You can restart your recipient selection at any time by clicking on the ‘Reset’ button.



Finalizing and Sending Your Message

Once you’ve selected your recipients, proceed to step 3 by clicking on ‘Send.’ In this step, you can preview the message that will be sent. You have the option to:

  • Send a test message to yourself for checking. 
  • Send the message to the selected recipients. 
  • Cancel the message if you decide not to send it.


NB! The message will be sent to the email address associated with the user's account in the Space.
