How does member progression work within the metagroup?

Modified on Fri, 3 Oct at 11:21 AM

The progression of members within a metagroup is based on the rules defined when the metagroup was created. To track a member's progress, click the View button and then select the Members tab. A summary table will be displayed (see screenshot below). You can search by member name or by group.

When a member meets the requirements of a group, they automatically move to the next group. If the option “Users are automatically removed from their previous group when they move to the next one” was enabled when the metagroup was created or modified, the member will also be automatically removed from the previous group.

A member’s detailed progression profile can be accessed by clicking on their name or the Eye icon. Their progression history can be viewed using the circular Arrow icon.

The metagroup manager can also advance a member manually and assign them to a group using the Horizontal arrow icon.

Note: If members have been added directly to a group by means other than the Add Members button (for example, via Manage Space / Groups), it is recommended to use the Sync Members button to update the metagroup data.

Members who have completed all progression steps within the metagroup appear in the Completion History tab. If the option “Users are automatically removed from the metagroup upon completing all final requirements” was enabled when the metagroup was created or modified, members who finish the course will be automatically removed from the metagroup.
